LTE: Maisel's 'fuzzy thinking' in column doesn't add up Kennebec Journal columnist L. Sandy Maisel, discussing President Bush's nominee for attorney general, says, "The Constitution is ambiguous as to whether the senators can withhold consent based on policy differences or only because a nominee does not have adequate qualifications." The weight of Maisel's piece is that churlish senators should not consider the nominee's repressive "policy differences" and should base their decision solely on his "qualifications."
